The Gateway to Milwaukee appoints passionate, active members to our Board of Directors. These individuals, responsible for leading us forward, act on behalf of an incredibly diverse group of entrepreneurs that do business in and around The Gateway district.
Leif Otteson became Executive Director of the Gateway to Milwaukee in 2015. Prior to coming to the Gateway Leif worked in affordable housing development, community economic development, and neighborhood planning. Leif received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and Master's Degree in City & Regional Planning from Clemson University. Leif has lived and worked in the Milwaukee community for over 15 years and has a passion for supporting the comprehensive success of the region, its businesses, and its residents. Leif works closely with area businesses, public officials, residents, and other stakeholders to continue the Gateway's collaborative effort towards a prosperous, connected airport business district.
Laurie Siskiewitz began working for The Gateway to Milwaukee organization in 2017. Laurie has worked with non profit organizations for many years, bringing with her experience in event management, marketing, membership and retention. Laurie has lived in the Milwaukee area her entire life and is a graduate of UW-Milwaukee. She is passionate about Milwaukee and the surrounding communities. Laurie brings her enthusiasm for marketing, planning events and public relations to the Gateway to Milwaukee to assist the executive director and the board with their efforts to continue to enhance and develop the Airport Gateway Region.
Samer Abulughod, the owner of Crystal Limousine & Coach, has operated his business in The Gateway for 17 years. As a founding member of The Gateway to Milwaukee, Samer is motivated to continue finding ways to enhance the area.
Phillip Devlin has worked with small businesses, school districts, and local governments in his past positions in the banking industry. Phil's specialties included financing, investments, and other financial services for small businesses and government units.
Hired as Vice President of the MATC Oak Creek campus, Dr. Mark Felsheim brings over 30 years of experience as an educator, trainer, consultant, and administrator in both the public and private sector. He has worked in all phases of higher education and has been recognized for his commitment to quality, innovation, and community building.
Mark Johnson joined The Gateway to Milwaukee with a long-term vision to bring corporate travelers, business meeting attendees, and leisure guests to his Best Western Plus hotel, located directly across from Milwaukee’s airport.
With over 30 years experience in the transportation field, Jan Krivanek believes in The Gateway to Milwaukee mission and vision, and wants to spread the word about The Gateway to impact its strength and growth.
Gregg Lindner is one of the founding directors of Airport Gateway Business Association (AGBA) and Airport Gateway Business Improvement District #40 (AGBID #40). He serves as the President for AGBA and the Chairman for AGBID #40 as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee Gateway Aerotropolis Corporation (MGAC). Gregg brings his expertise to The Gateway to Milwaukee with over 30 years of providing Transportation, Warehouse, and Logistic services.
As president of Reliable Plating Works and its subsidiary, Elite Finishing, Jaime Maliszewski brings solid business sense and innovative ideas to the table. Guided by strong principles, the desire to be the best, and a commitment to the world around him, Jaime believes a positive attitude is key to success.
Doug Seymour is the Director of Community Development for the City of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, where he leads the planning and economic development programs for the City. Doug has held similar positions in other high-growth communities such as Germantown, WI and Cape Coral, FL and brings this wealth of knowledge to the Gateway organization.
Lynn Sigfred is the Vice President for Park Bank where she works with privately held businesses assisting them with their lending and treasury management needs. Lynn recognizes the Milwaukee airport area offers a first impression to many visitors, and feels that it is in the best interest of the greater Milwaukee area to ensure that we put our best foot forward.
Bryan Simon, President of Simon Landscape Company, imagines that The Gateway will become a national leader in effective resource management. Bryan has worked in landscaping for over 25 years, and believes that environmental awareness is becoming an increasingly important factor as businesses select a place to locate. He has been instrumental in development of the Green Corridor along S. 6th Street.
Scott Solverson possesses a wide range of technical, managerial, and administrative experience. He is an Associate Vice President and Group Director responsible for managing Construction and Water Resources operations for HNTB, a consulting engineering firm. Scott has 32 years of engineering and management experience.
Mike Sweeney has over ten years of personal training experience. Prior to opening Sweeney’s Gym in 2006, he owned a personal training studio and managed the Riverside Theater in Milwaukee. In addition to being a board member of the Airport Gateway Business Association, Mike is the Safety and Security chairperson for The Gateway to Milwaukee.
Clark Wantoch comes to the board with a vast knowledge of transportation related issues surrounding the airport. Clark was the Transportation Design Manager for the City of Milwaukee and the Director of Highways for Milwaukee County. He has been a longtime resident of the south side of Milwaukee, and currently works as the Executive Director of the WI Concrete Pipe Assn.
Clint Wills is the Regional Vice President of the Wisco Hotel group and oversees four Gateway to Milwaukee member hotels. He believes in the need for involvement in the local community and joined the board of the Gateway to Milwaukee to help further the vision of beautifying the area, improving the security in the Gateway and further driving economic development.
Misty Donough has been with Parking Company of America for over 9 years. She has worked in the Cleveland and Houston markets prior to moving 4.5 years ago to take over the Milwaukee facility. Misty joined the Gateway to Milwaukee in 2015. She enjoys being part of the Gateway not only to enhance business, but also to grow and strengthen the Gateway Community.
Travis Teide joined the Gateway to Milwaukee as a new Board Member in 2018. He brings to the Gateway to Milwaukee many years of experience in the Real Estate Industry currently serving as Senior Vice President at NAI MLG Commercial, specializing in the leasing and sale of industrial properties. He is a licensed Wisconsin Real Estate professional and a member of the Commercial Association of Realtors of Wisconsin (CARW). Travis will bring his expertise in real estate assisting with the economic development of the Gateway Region.
