WORK BEGINS TONIGHT IN ANTICIPATION OF CLOSING LAYTON AVENUE OVER I-94 ON WEDNESDAY
Please read closely the document below to see when overnight and long-term (in bold ink) closures of ramps and roads are scheduled to take place. Be sure to contact your customers, vendors, drivers and employees about the changes and alternative traffic routes.
To come to The Gateway:
- From downtown exit at Holt Ave. and then turn left (south) right away on 6th St. or else take the Airport Spur.
- From the south, exit at College Ave. or the Airport Spur.
- From Eastbound I-894, exit at 27th St. and go south to Grange Ave.
Departing from The Gateway:
- Going northbound, use the Howard Ave. entrance to I-94/43, or the Airport Spur, or else use the Lake Park Freeway
- To go south, again use the Airport Spur or else College Ave.
Both Howell Avenue between Howard & Grange plus 6th Street between Layton & Grange were repaved last year to handle the increased traffic. 13th Street is in good shape to handle the extra traffic as is 27th Street.
Don’t forget to check www.plan94.org for daily updates and to contact Laura Goranson of WisDOT at (262) 548-8721 if you would like help with a sign about traffic directions for your business.
