Gateway to Milwaukee

Gateway Security Watch Kickoff Meeting

23rd November 2009

You are hereby invited to the kickoff meeting of our new Gateway Security Watch Program that will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, at the Best Western Milwaukee Airport Hotel at 5105 S Howell AV.

The objective of the program is to increase deterrence efforts against break-ins and criminal activity in our area.  With The Gateway being Milwaukee’s primary welcoming and transportation hub, we want to make the area as safe as we can for our visitors and residents.

Joining us at this meeting and supporting this effort will be:

• Milwaukee Police Department that has its new “hotel squad”

• Oak Creek Police Department has been extended an invitation

• Security Personnel, Inc. – our new security patrol agency that is patrolling The Gateway for 8 hours each night

• American Security & Investigations that will be introducing an electronic communications platform for Program participants, including the police, that will enhance security incident reporting
and alerts in the area

• VISIT Milwaukee that is increasing its involvement in Gateway activities.

As part of the Program, we will also be making available signs, security vests for employees and a letter for your guests about The Gateway Security Watch.  These items, the reporting system and future training meetings will be available to you at no cost as part of the Program.

The more property owner and businesses that participate in this Program, the more likely that The Gateway will be a more secure environment for all of us and for our guests.  We sincerely hope that you can join us for the kickoff meeting on December 3 at 9:30and if you can, please e-mail .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with the names of your business or property, those attending and a phone number, or call us at (414) 455-3323 with that information.

Sincerely,

Tom Rave
